What can be said about Christmas here at our house? Like most of you we enjoyed the day watching our children enjoy the day. They excitedly tore through many gifts and ended their spree with the opening of their Santa gift, remote control trucks. We didn't see much of them for the remainder of the morning because they were so busy driving those trucks around the house, upstairs, downstairs wherever they could find a flat spot. They had races, they learned to do wheelies. It was amazing to watch how quickly they learned to control the remotes and make those trucks go just where they wanted. Townsend loves the game "Don't Wake Daddy" and we have to play it at least once a day. Emerson loves the wooden woodpecker that pecks his way down a stick when you perch him at the top of the stick. It was a wonderful morning filled with laughs. My sister Paige being here was so great. I love to have her in our home, she is a great Auntie and a fun sister to have around.
Christmas night brought us a very full house. We had 9 adults and our 2 kids surrounding our dinner table. We had a traditional German spread of rolls, cheese, meats, sausages, red cabbage, sour kraut etc. It was wonderful to have such a full house and we sang Christmas carols in German to finish the night off. Sister Abersold (one of the senior missionaries) LOVED playing with the boys and she kept saying how much she missed her grandkids this time of year. I'm glad to be of service by letting her play with my kids all evening...anytime you want Sister Abersold!

Christmas morning breakfast complete with a centerpiece the boys made the day before
We didn't tell them they had to open gifts together, they just decided that was the most fair way to do things
